Teaching Practicum |
I have been an educator for nineteen years in the elementary school setting. For the past fourteen years, I have been teaching in Arcadia Unified School District. Currently, I am an Instructional Coach for the district. I support and team with teachers at each school site with district programs, new innovative strategies and effective pedagogy. Through collaboration and teamwork, the coaches district-wide come together to expose the community, teachers, and students the effective changes in education through parent seminars, social media, organized professional developments and modeled lessons. Currently, we are supporting AUSD's relations and development of the Alt School Platform.
As an educator, I believe all students can have access to grow and be better than yesterday, while exercising agency to personalize their pathway. I value the Universal Design for Learning Framework and the Learner/Student Centered pedagogy and competency based outcomes articulated in the Re-Imagined Education Framework. I am continuously researching and connecting with other educators that believe in the same “WHY” toward education. |
Education |
I attended California State University of Monterey Bay while receiving my undergraduate degree in Liberal Studies and minoring in Human Communications. I obtained my Multi-Subject Teaching Credential and Master’s in Education with an emphasis in Educational Technology at California Lutheran University. In 2017, I joined my Arcadia Unified colleagues to complete the Administrative Credential Program at California Polytechnics University.
